Kevin (Kingi) Hori Kingi Morgan died peacefully surrounded by whanau at the Wellington Hospital ICU on Monday 7th of April, after extensive high-risk cardiac surgery. Keeping up his elusive, no-fuss attitude to the very end, he did not want people to know about his surgery- which leaves his death coming as a shock to us all.

Kingi was the son of Kathleen Brooking (née MacGregor) and Karewa (Mervyn) Morgan (both deceased); older brother of Ramari, Ruby, Jack, Ben, Harata (deceased), George and Tammy. Loved father of Jessie and Zander (deceased), lifelong friend of Kath Wood; cheeky nephew, cousin, uncle, great uncle; and a larger than life friend to many.

At Kingi's request there will be no tangi or funeral. A memorial service will be held in the coming months.

Kingi is now with his beautiful boy Zander Morgan-Wood.

He will be remembered for his loquaciousness, zany sense of humour, sharp wit, appetite for wide and varied discussions, generosity, determination and big heart.
