PATEL, Laxmi

It breaks our family’s hearts that Laxmi passed away on Sunday, 24 August 2025, aged 76. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the matriarch of our entire family. Cherished wife of Amarat, dearly loved mother to Rajees, the late Keeran Amarat, Sushil and Keeran. Mother-in-law to Palna. Loving sister to Laxmiben (UK), the late Jayantibhai, Bhovan, Lila, Kishor and Krishna.

Daughter of the late Gosai Makan and Bhani Chhiba of Aavda Falia, Matwad, India.

Sister-in-law of the late Chemanbhai (UK), Parvatiben, Gita, Sean, Marlti as well as Pali, Raymond and Dahi, Santi, Kamala and Gilbert, and the late Kishor.

Treasured and adored masi, mami, foi and kaki.

Friends are welcome to visit the Patel home 3-7pm on Tuesday (26th), Wednesday (27th) and Saturday (30th).

A service will be held at Cockburn Street Chapel, Corner Onepu Road & Cockburn St, Kilbirnie, Wellington on Thursday 28 August 2025. You are welcome to pay your respects from 10am with the service starting at 10:30am. This will be followed by a private service at the crematorium.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wellington Hospitals Foundation would be appreciated and can be made online at www.whf.org.nz
