
WELSH, John Graham. Of Greytown. On 7th September 2025 peacefully at Roseneath Lifecare, Carterton, in the presence of family. Aged 78 years. Dearly loved husband of Joy for 45 years. Loved and respected father and father-in-law of Peter and Lisa, Rachel, and Brian. Loved and treasured Grandad of Chloe, Ollie and Riley. Son of the late Jim and Joy (Masterton). Son-in-law of the late Muriel and Smithy (Greytown). Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Margaret and Ken Sage and the late Stuart Meyrick, Heather and Neil McWhannell (Sydney), Bruce and Margaret Smith, Neil (dec) and Ann Smith. Much loved cousin, nephew, uncle and friend to many. Thanks to staff and residents of Roseneath Lifecare, Dr Tirkey and Wellington Free Ambulance for looking after our loved husband and Dad for close to 3 years. In lieu of flowers a donation to Wairarapa Parkinsons would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A service for John will be held at the South Wairarapa Workingmens Club (West St entrance) on Friday 12 September 2025 at 1.30pm followed by private cremation. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FROM THE FAMILY Joy, Peter and Lisa, Rachel, Brian and families wish to express their heartfelt thanks to relatives, friends, neighbours and workmates who supported them in so many ways during John’s illness and at the time of his passing. We have appreciated the lovely cards, letters, flowers, food, phonecalls, tributes, visits, donations made to Wairarapa Parkinsons and the presence of those at the service.
