We warmly invite you to join us for a memorial service to celebrate Mum’s life on Monday 10th November 2025, at:
Lyall Bay Surf Lifesaving Club
101 Lyall Parade, Lyall Bay, Wellington
Schedule
1.00 – 1.30pm Arrival
1.30 – 2.30pm Service
2.30 – 3.30pm Refreshments
3.30 – 4.00pm Depart
We chose this location because it’s right on the beach and close to the airport, both of which felt fitting and symbolic for Mum. If you wish, please feel free to wear bright or cheerful colours - a nod to Mum's free-spirited sense of style and life in Rarotonga.
A few practical notes:
Location: Please note that this is the blue mosaic-style building (not to be confused with the Maranui Surf Club next door).
Parking: Plenty of street parking is available directly in front of the building.
Access: The service will be held in the Huetepara Room on level 1. Lift access is available if needed.
Comfort: Weather permitting, we’ll enjoy refreshments outside on the deck. Please bring a jacket as it’s often breezy by the water.

WILSON, Susan.
Passed away peacefully at Roseneath Lifecare 30th September 2025. Aged 79 years. Loved wife of the late Paul. Cherished friend of 78 years to Susan. Loved Mum of Craig and Jodi and their families. Loved Stepmum to Jackie and Kerry.
A private family farewell has been held. A memorial celebration of Susan’s life will be held at a later date, details to be advised.
