HERBERT, Patrick Elliot Cameron J.P.  (Pat) Of Greytown, formerly Wellington.  
 
On 20th February 2026 peacefully at Alden Palliser House, Greytown.  Aged 87 years.
 
Loved Eldest son of the late Pat and Marjery Herbert (Whanganui).
 
Loved husband and companion of Bev for 63 years.
 
Loved father and father-in-law of Tim and Tracy, Cam and Karen, Nick and Sarah, and Matthew (deceased).
 
Much loved Grandad of Jessica, Josh and Jorja; Lachie and Fergus; Bella, Finn and Evie.
 
Loved brother and brother-in-law of Tony and Trish, Kim and Jo, Shane and Tony and Ric and Adrienne, uncle and friend to many.

Grateful thanks to Wairarapa Hospital, District Nurses, Kahukura Team, and staff at Palliser House for their care and support for Patrick over the last months.
 
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Cancer Society via: www.cancer.org.nz would be appreciated or may be left in the Chapel foyer.
 
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held in the Richmond Chapel, Richmond Road, Carterton on Friday 27th Feb 2026 at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation.
