On 27th June 2008 peacefully at Palliser Rest Home Greytown. In his 83rd year.

Former husband of Ione. Beloved father and father in law of Chris and Jan (Newlands), Lesley-Anne Haines-Hamilton (Auckland), Richard and Fiona (Island Bay), and Lisa (Porirua). Loved Poppa of Graham and Jillinda, Mark, Dillon, Joshua, Nikita, and Danielle. Loved great Poppa of Joshua, Lucas, Caleb, Kimberley, and Malikai-James.

In lieu of flowers a donation made to the Martinborough Volunteer Fire Brigade, P O Box 126, Martinborough or the Martinborough and Districts Ambulance Trust, P O Box 40, Martinborough would be appreciated or may be left in the Church foyer.

A service for John will be held at St Anthony’s Catholic Church, Martinborough on Wednesday 2nd July 2008 at 1:30pm. Cremation to be private.
