GAIN, Thomas George (Tom) Returned Serviceman, 1939-45. Of Carterton.

On 12 August 2008 at Wairarapa Hospital. Aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Lois. Beloved father and father in law of Chris and Robbie Davies, and the late Terry. Loved Grandad of Brendon, Michael, Andrew and Timothy and a loved great Grandad.

Loved son of the late Percy and Daisy Gain. Loved brother of Ina Bell and Joy Vicars and a loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews.

“If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I’d walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.”

In lieu of flowers a donation to Palliser Home and Hospital (Patient Comfort Fund), 186 East St, Greytown, would be appreciated and may be left in the chapel foyer.

A service for Tom will be held in the Richmond Chapel, Richmond Rd, Carterton tomorrow (Friday) 15 August 2008 at 2.00pm followed by private cremation.
