On September 27, 2008 at Dunedin Hospital supported by his family.

First son of the dearly missed late Kan Wing Kai. Brother of Roger, Reginald, Neville, Desmond, and Beverly. Devoted husband of Jean. Father of John, Kevin, Marilyn, Lloyd, David, Norman, and the late Carolyn. Grandfather of Michael, Christopher, Emily, Nicholas, Sarah, Ryan, and Mitchell.

A service for Ken will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner of Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 10 am on Saturday October 4 followed by private burial.
