McKone, Daniel George Raymond (Ray)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family and caring staff on 12 December 2008 at Village at the Park, Wellington, in his 89th year.

Beloved husband of Helen for nearly 60 years. Much cherished father and father-in-law of Tony & Deb, Gabrielle McKone & Howard Greive, Fran & Dave Reardon, Bernie & Mark Leadbitter, Cath McKone & Phil Leadbitter, and Gerard & Rose (Singapore).

Much loved 'Poppa' of Conor and Casey; Dan and Mia; Anna, Samuel (dec), Emily and Beth; Rosie and Evie; and a new grandson on the way. Beloved brother of Edith, Noelene, and the late Doris and Frank.

"I will arise and go now, for always night and day, I hear lake water lapping, with low sounds by the shore."

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Angels, 17 Boulcott St, Wellington on Wednesday 17 December at 10.30am. Thereafter interment at the Makara Cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited in Church on Tuesday 16 December at 7.00pm.
