On 30th January 2009 peacefully at Wairarapa Hospital, in the presence of family. Aged 81 years.

Dearly loved husband of Alison for 53 years.
Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Kay and Jim Annett, Glenn and Clare Turner. Treasured Pop of Rebecca and Madeleine.

Loved brother and brother-in-law of Adrienne, Ross and Glenyc, and Geoff and loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews.

A service for John will be held at the Martinborough Town Hall, Kansas Street, Martinborough, on Monday 2nd February 2009 at 2.00 p.m. followed by burial at the Martinborough Services Lawn Cemetery.
