On November 11 2009, aged 55 years, of motor neuron disease.

Dearly loved husband of Karen; loved and inspirational father of Ben, father-in-law of Shizuka and adored gigi of Jasmine. Dearly loved and cherished son of Giff and Lorna (deceased). Loved son-in-law of Allan (deceased) and Pat McFadyen. Loved brother and brother- in-law of Janette and Barry White, Brent and Siew Hwee McFadyen, Barrie and Tony (deceased) Ashton, Graeme and Anne McFadyen. Fun uncle of Julian and Chelsea, Eloise, Bridget, Dylan and Hayley, Sophie (deceased) and Simon, Danielle and Zachary.

'Forever young'

A celebration of Giff's life will be held at 'The Chalet', Glenfalloch Gardens, Dunedin at 2pm on Wednesday November 18.

A memorial service will be held in Auckland at a later date.
