Beloved husband and lifelong partner of Winnie (two years short of their Diamond Wedding Anniversary). Dearly loved and proud Dad of Jim and Zaineb (Leeds, U.K.), Ian and Alicia (Palmerston Nth), Steve and Lesley (Wellington), Sue and Pete Carlisle (Greytown). Much loved and proud Grandad of Robert, Ian; Sarah, Zoe; Jo, Caitlin, Erin; Dan, Nicky, and Adam; and ‘Tess’. A loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle.

In accordance with John’s wishes a private gathering has been held.
