It is with much sadness that we announce John’s death on 29 February 2012 after a long illness.

Adored husband and soulmate of Catherine. Loved brother and brother-in-law to Annette & Noel Herd. Loved Dad, father-in-law and stepfather to Leaine & Frank McMaster, Marian & Peter Irvine, Karen & Peter Anderson, Paul & Michelle Quayle, and Mark Quayle. Proud Grand-dad to Matthew, Aimee, Courtney, Trafford, Lucy, Ben, and Sophie. Former husband of Dawn.

John’s funeral service will be held at Kapiti Coast Funeral Home Chapel, 9–11 Hinemoa Street, Paraparaumu, at 11.00am on Friday, 2nd March, to be followed by a private cremation.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Mary Potter Hospice would be welcomed and may be left at the service or posted to PO Box 7442, Newtown, Wellington 6242.
