On May 6, 2012, peacefully surrounded by her family at Dunedin Hospital, in her 99th year.

Dearly loved wife of the late Russell, loved mother and mother-in-law of Alan and Margaret, and Lyall (deceased) and Susan, much loved "Marnie" of Sharon and Barry McCoy, Jeff and Paula, Janette and Derek; Peter and Sandra, Warren and Melissa, Raymond and Tracy, and Matthew; and all her great-grandchildren, loved sister and sister-in-law of Ted (deceased) and Gladys Russell, and a loved aunt of Noeleen and Ian Hallett.

A service will be held in the Waikouaiti Events Centre, Main Road, Waikouaiti at 11:00 a.m. on Friday May 11 followed by private cremation.
