On April 28, 2013 at Dunedin Hospital, after a short illness; aged 87 years.

Dearly beloved and devoted husband, and childhood sweetheart of the late Doreen. Much loved father of David and Noeline, and Helen and the late Alister Grant. Treasured Grandad of Amanda, Gareth and Sarah, Vanessa and Ben, and the late Melissa; Sarah and Simon, Emma and Geoff, Amy and Andrew, loved great-Grandad of his 9 great-grandchildren.

A service for Ron will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 3:00pm on Thursday May 2, followed by private cremation.
