On 18 January 2014, peacefully in his 91st year, at Wellington.

Loved husband for 63 years of Peggy; Father and Father-in-law of Wendy, Vivienne and Dave, Graeme and Moire, Murray and Jonetta, Fiona (dec.) and Rhys. Adored Grandad to Caitlin, Jennie, Rowan, Catherine, Gemma, Allison, Neil, Erin, William, Ian, Emma, Sarah and Evan, and Great-grandad to Arya and Eli.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Mary Potter Hospice, may be left at the service.

A celebration of Alan's life will be held at Old St. Paul's, 34 Mulgrave Street, Wellington on Friday 24 January at 2:30 pm, followed by a private cremation.
