On 13 March 2014 peacefully at Auckland City Hospital while awaiting a liver transplant.

Lionel was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, friend, and philanthropist.

He will be dearly missed by his family Denise, Carl, Nicola, Kirsten, Dave and his pride and joys Sophie, Joshua, and Bella.

A service to celebrate Lionel's life will be held at Old St Paul's 34 Mulgrave St, Thorndon Wellington on Wednesday, March 19th at 1.00pm followed by a private cremation.
